From Reel to Tape : A Cinematic Decade
The album “70’s Movies Soundtrack” is inspired by french and international movies sountracks from the 1970s.
... Eager to remain authentic and immerse myself in the musical aesthetics and orchestration of that rich, prolific — and at times even experimental — era, I carried out deep research, listening, and analysis through the works of key composers of the time, such as Vladimir Cosma, Georges Delerue, François de Roubaix, John Barry, Giorgio Moroder, and of course, Ennio Morricone.
This album is the result of 18 months of work, in collaboration with renowned musicians: Rémi Vignolo (Double Bass / Drums), Manu Duprey (Fender Rhodes / Keys), and Fabien Squillante (Acoustic, Electric & 12-String Guitars, Bass & Keyboards).
We recorded authentic instruments, intentionally limiting the use of plugins to favor real and old-school recording methods.
We also took the production process further by using vintage microphones, legendary Neve 1073 preamps, and original “Space Echo” tape delays and reverbs, in order to capture the unmistakable mood and sound of the '70s.
We’re very proud of the result, and hope you’ll listen to and enjoy this album — composed, recorded, and produced with Passion and a true attention to detail...

I'm a French guitarist, composer and producer, scattered among different musical and artistic activities.
BIO
Born in a family of painters and architects, french guitarist, composer and producer Fabien Squillante grew up in a multidisciplinary artistic environment between Dali paintings, Durer engravings, Comics, Mozart's music, and Serge Gainsbourg's poetry.
This eclectism definitly set the tone for how he would later on approach music, and art in general : without blinders.
At the age of eight, Fabien begins studying music through piano, and the works of Bach, Mozart, Chopin...
In his teens, he discovers rock music, and at fourteen, particularly influenced by Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin... >>
